In order to maximize the experience of each spectator for 2012, the total number allowed on the Kiawah Island Ocean Course will be limited to approximately 27,000 spectators per day. By comparison, the 91st PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in 2009 had more than 44,000 total spectators on its most crowded day. A drastic reduction of tickets available to the general public will take place in 2012 to ensure the best experience for all in attendance. Tickets will officially be on sale Nov. 15, 2010 for those who have registered online. The window will only be open for six weeks during this pre-sale period and will close afterwards. Daily Grounds tickets and Weekly Wanamaker Club tickets will be offered to the general public.
