WILLSON POWELL, ASID - CHARLESTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY’S LECTURE SERIES

Where: Charleston Museum Auditorium - 360 Meeting St.

When: Mon. Feb 14th, 2011, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Willson Powell, ASID, has always been a sensualist admirer of beauty in nature, life and art. As a young man he painstakingly documented existing historic gardens and homes and began translating this information into beautiful and compelling garden designs. With the growing popularity of historical architectural details and garden design based on authentic historical models, he has been introducing clients to plant materials, patterns and forms that were used in past centuries. His translations of these details and designs, from the simple to the sublime, form a garden design vocabulary he draws on to create beauty in each and every one of his garden plans.

Lecture begins at 6:30pm at the Charleston Museum Auditorium. Free to Charleston Horticultural Society members; $15 for non-members.
