An Interview with Carolyn Hunter

Jennet Robinson Alterman, Executive Director of the Center for Women, will interview Carolyn Hunter, a highly successful, local African American entrepreneur. Ms. Hunter is President of C&A Unlimited which owns three McDonalds restaurants in Moncks Corner, Ladson and Sangaree. She began her career 34 years ago on a McDonald’s grill crew in college, gained critical management experience in New York City, saved and purchased her first McDonalds in Moncks Corner in 1989. Ms. Hunter currently serves on the boards of Trident Technical College, SCANA Advisory Board and the Charleston Ronald McDonald House. In 2011, Carolyn Hunter pledged $1 million to Trident Tech to assist the school with providing opportunity to deserving students. Ms. Hunter epitomizes the values of getting an education, setting goals and working diligently toward a dream.
