Wonder Works Wins 2012 Best Calico Critters Mascot Award

Charleston's own Wonder Works won “2012 Best Calico Critters Mascot” in honor of the successful Calico Critters event hosted at Wonder Works in Mt. Pleasant in March of 2012.

The beloved Calico Critters mascot, Mrs. Fisher Cat, mother of the Fisher Cat Family, came to Wonder Works for a Calico Critters Fun Day.  Fans were able to meet Mrs. Fisher Cat, have their picture taken with her and participate in Calico Critters activities. The day also featured free face painting by Carolina Party Artists and a book signing with Megan Waldrep and Melissa Nelson, local authors of Wonder Works’ 2012 March Book of the Month, Spice and Little Sugar.

Calico Critters are collectable, miniature animal families including cats, mice, dogs, pigs, pandas, hedgehogs and so much more. Wonder Works features a large Calico Critters section in its stores with many of the collection’s treasured family figures, homes, furniture, accessories and ready-to-play sets for children to create their one-of-a-kind critter world.

Osborne said, “We are so excited to win the best mascot for Calico Critters! We love having Mrs. Fisher Cat at our events, the kids just adore her. We can’t wait until next year’s Calico Critters Fun Day; it’s going to be a blast!”
