In its third year, the Push-Up & Up Challenge is an exciting competition to see which team can raise the most money and complete the most push-ups in 30 minutes. This fundraising event is designed to literally "push-up" at-risk youth in the Charleston area. This year's event will be held Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon in Marion Square (downtown). You can create a team, get training tips, and start raising money for this important cause by visiting our website and following us on social media.

Money raised by the teams goes to support Communities In Schools (CIS), which has been working for 25 years to lower the high school dropout rate in Charleston. We could write pages on why we support CIS, but we like when the success rate does the talking for us. Of the seniors that CIS case managed in 2013, 95.5% received their diploma and 70% of those students were accepted to college.
