The 4,689-square-foot home at 2 Concord Street is officially on the market for an astounding $17.5 million, which makes it one of the top real estate listings in downtown Charleston.

The house was converted from a Navy building and sits on a pier in Charleston Harbor. It was purchased in 2009 for $5.25 million by Blackbaud founder and Charleston Battery owner Tony Bakker and his wife, Linda. Since then, the home has undergone serious renovations. Some of the home's more notable features are:

  • A yacht-size private dock that is the only single-family home dock in the Historic District
  • A 1,234-square-foot guest house
  • A three-car garage
  • Solar panels with net metering
  • Geothermal heating and cooling system
  • Rainwater collection system for irrigation
