The Battery lost in Atlanta to the Atlanta Silverbacks 2-1 on Friday night.

The Silverbacks (6-5-6, 24 points) scored their goals in 12th and 37th minutes, the Battery scored their only goal in the 13th minute. The Charleston Battery's Web site has a solid write-up of the game.

The Charleston Battery (9-6-4, 31 points) dropped to the second spot tied for points against the first-ranked Puerto Rico Islanders. Past game results are available on the Battery Web site.

The Battery's next game is Sunday (August 3) in Charleston against Vancouver Whitecaps .
