The College of Charleston Men's Basketball team has earned a berth in the College Basketball Invitational post-season tournament and will host the George Mason University Patriots at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 at the TD Arena.

This will be the Cougars' third time appearing in the CBI. It lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament in 2009 and 2010.

It will also be the fourth ever meeting with the Patriots. Charleston leads the all-time series 3-1, though they came up short the last time these teams played in a 2011 ESPN BracketBusters matchup.

Cougars first-year head coach Doug Wojick is excited for his team's chance in the post-season, and is grateful for a CBI invitation.

"We are thrilled to be able to play in the postseason. Looking at all of the teams that made the NIT field, Kentucky, Virginia, Alabama and Tennessee, we are fortunate to be playing in the CBI and are excited for the opportunity to continue our season."

George Mason is currently a member of the Colonial Athletic Association and will be joined by Charleston when the school bolts from the Southern Conference on July 1.

General admission tickets to Tuesday's game are $15 and can be purchased from the C of C Sports website here. They can also be bought in person at the TD Arena Box Office or by calling the C of C Athletics Ticket Office at (843) 953-COFC.
