College of Charleston's Andrew Goudelock was selected 46th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft held Thursday night and was drafted in the second round by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 6-foot-3 guard and 2011 Southern Conference Player of the Year becomes the only second all-time draft pick in this history of College of Charleston.

Goudelock, who led the Cougars to a 26-11 overall record, a regular-season championship title, and ranked fourth nationally among NCAA Division I scoring leaders, had this to say last night:

"This is surreal and a dream come true," said Goudelock from his draft watch party with family and friends in Atlanta. "I am very thankful and blessed to be chosen by the Lakers organization. I love the College of Charleston and will always remember my time there. I had so much fun playing for Coach Cremins, playing in front of our fans, and making lifelong friends in my teammates."

The College of Charleston Athletics page has a great recap of Goudelock's career as well as the results of last night's draft; read it here. You can also take a look the NBA's official Prospet Profile on Goudelock here.
