CSU cuts men's tennis program

Charleston Southern has decided to discontinue its men's tennis program, according to The Post and Courier. The newspaper reports:

Charleston Southern has discontinued its men's tennis program, effective immediately. The 2008 team finished 12-9 and 4-2 in the Big South, tied for second in the conference.

"This has been a very difficult decision to make," CSU athletic director Hank Small. "This decision allows us to reallocate our resources to enhance the competitiveness of our remaining 16 Division I sports."
