One does not have to look far to see the impact of former Charleston ballplayers in this year’s quest for the World Series.

Five players have called the Holy City home at some point during their baseball careers. When the playoffs began, a total of 11 players on the eight respective teams fell into this category.

Pretty impressive, I must say.
