Okay, so it might not exactly be Myrtle Beach news, but it's still super exciting South Carolina news: The USC Gamecocks are advancing to the College World Series after an 8-2 victory over Connectinut on Sunday.
The Gamecocks (50-14) are about to make their 10th appearance in the College World Series beginning June 18th at the TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. And for the second year in a row, Gamecock Christian Walker looks to led the team to victory and to the College World Series.
The Gamecocks finished their home season with a 36-4 record; they've also won 11 consecutive postseason games.
