In a tight game the Gamecocks triumphed over Virgina in an extra innings nail biter. 

Gamecocks outfielder Adam Matthews scored the winning run at the bottom of the 13th inning last evening, Friday June 24.  Gamecocks coach Ray Tanner said the game could have gone either way and judging from innings 10-13 we couldn't agree more, but really those are the best games aren't they?
