The No. 4 ranked Porter-Gaud volleyball team defeated the No. 1 ranked Ashley Hall to claim the Class AAA state championship in front of approximately 1,200 fans at the College of Charleston's Carolina First Arena last night.

The Porter-Gaud Cyclones took out the Ashley Hall Panthers 25-27, 25-16, 25-20, 25-21, with sophomore Julia McAvoy delivering the match winning spike.
