On Sunday afternoon, Samantha Stosur, the 26-year-old Australian tennis player, earned her second second career WTA title at the Family Circle Cup finals over Russian standout Vera Zvonareva.

In just 52 minutes of play, Stosur put the hurt on Zvonareva, sweeping the first set 6-0 then finishing out the second set 6-3. Zvonareva's frustrations with her play were taken out on her racket, which she smashed on the ground three times then kicked away toward her seat.

According to The Post and Courier, The Family Circle Cup victory, worth $107,000 in first-place money, could propel the 11th-ranked Stosur back into the top 10.

The Post and Courier has both coverage of yesterday's game as well as a solid photo gallery.
