On Saturday afternoon, Jelain McArthur and Chelsea Taylor of the College of Charleston women's track and field team made the pages of the College's history books when together they broke three previously held school records.

Freshman jumper McArthur shaved .18 seconds off her best ever 60-meter hurdles run for a time of 8.96 seconds that shattered the old record by .80 seconds. Soon after, McArthur struck again when she broke the school record in the triple jump with a distance of 37'8" -- 1'6" farther than the previous record.

Rookie pole vaulter Chelsea Taylor racked up the third school record with jump of 11'5¾", that's ¾" higher than the previous record-holder.
