Gas is down, so why are grocery prices still so high?

You no doubt recall that grocery prices surged last year along with gas prices, and if you've been wondering why they haven't fallen, well, the short answer: Grocery stores generally didn't pass the full price increase to consumers and even with receding prices, grocery stores are often making less on products than they worth 18 months ago.
