Timothy Lynn Brumit

Timothy Lynn Brumit, 47, has received a sentence for 25 years for transmitting child pornography and attempting to entice a person he thought was a 13-year-old boy for sex.

Brumit was a high school and college teacher and Baptist pastor who often used the username "CharmingTim-75." But police say he exchanged messages and child porn to a Virginia police officer.

Police allege Brumit tried to sexually elicit a 13-year-old boy, and when police raided his home they found more than 600 videos and more than 12,000 photos

Assistant US Attorney Dean Eichelberger said of the child pornography allegedly discovered on Brumit’s home computer:
"Those images ran the gamut. Unfortunately, it goes down to single digit infants being subjected to some pretty horrific sexual acts. This is very extreme pornography. Well, it’s not even pornography. It’s a visual record of the rape of a child."
