If you were out and about on Saturday afternoon around 1:45 you may have been treated (and terrorized) to see a waterspout form not far from the Cooper River Bridge.

No one was hurt and the spout never hit land, but it turned up in dozens of photos and videos.

But all of those pics pail in comparison to this absolutely stunning picture that Aaron Smith submitted to The Post and Courier -- view it big.

Of course this is certainly not the first time such a thing has happened in Charleston.
