Update December 6:

Testing from SCE&G and S.C. DHEC is in, and there's still no definitive answer. -- Though there's some pretty cool visuals.

Hop over to The Post and Courier to see what's up.

First reporting:

Spurred on by resident complaints, The Post and Courier's Tony Bartelme did some extensive digging to see what was going on with well water contamination that looked an awful lot like coal.

Read more stories on this subject in our coal topic page. You can read the piece over here.

You'll likely walk away feeling fairly convinced that the blanketing effects of the coal power plant have somehow affected the well water at these homes in Canadys, and you'll probably wonder why the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control hasn't been more proactive.

For more on the latter of those, check out The State's criticism of the department.
