Updates throughout: The rush vote absentee is resulting in long lines at the Charleston County Elections Office. Another sign of the busy election year, and something to think about if you were planning to vote absentee to avoid long lines on November 4.

Not the start of the line.I voted absentee at the Charleston County office on Tuesday, October 28, arriving around 11:30 a.m. and it took around an hour-and-a-half to do so. -- Poll workers said that today's turnout was busy, but better than the day before.
