Ben Sawyer Bridge work to begin soon (update: delayed)

Update June 8: Replacement of the main span of the Ben Sawyer Bridge has been delayed until late November or early December.

Work is scheduled to begin in about a month on the Ben Sawyer Bridge that connects Sullivan's Island to Mount Pleasant.

In the near term there will be "occasional" one-lane closure during night hours, but you can expect a week-long closure during the final phase in the Fall.
