RiverDogs get a bruising at packed opener

Despite taking the first runs in the 2nd, the RiverDogs lost their first game of the season to the Rome Braves 2-8 as the visiting team took advantage of the 'Dogs five errors.

There was standing room only left at as 8,366 people packed Joseph Riley park (close to the maximum attendance of 8,426 -the opening day figure in 2007), and plenty of lines at the concession stands. There was free parking for the opening night, $5 if you go tonight -- but Friday has fireworks and you get a dollar off if your wear a red shirt.
