A wet weather pattern is setting up over South Carolina for the next few days, so it'd be a wise choice to keep your umbrella close by.

An upper level low is coming our way from the Gulf of Mexico. This low, combined with a cold front, will keep clouds and showers in the forecast through midweek.

Below are the conditions predicted from Monday - Wednesday courtesy of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration:

This Afternoon: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. South wind between 10 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Southwest wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. West wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
