Calif.-based reggae festival considering Myrtle Beach

After being held for two years in Wilmington, N.C., organizers of the California Roots’ The Carolina Sessions reggae music festival are looking to move their event in Myrtle Beach next October.

Katie Hovis told Myrtle Beach City Council on Nov. 11 that they were looking for a new location after dealing with flooding at Battleship Park in Wilmington and wanted to stay in the coastal states.

The festival began five years ago in California and expanded to the East Coast in 2013.
