Charleston’s Palmetto Brewing Company brings its beers to the Myrtle Beach area

New selections of craft beers are on the shelves and taps at many locations in the greater Myrtle Beach area, as the Palmetto Brewing Company, known as South Carolina’s first brewery, makes its first expansion of the year on the Grand Strand.

The brewery hosted a beer dinner Tuesday with the Mellow Mushroom at 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, where it showcased some of its available brews.

Palmetto Brewing’s expansion to Myrtle Beach means a lot of great things for the company and for beer-lovers in the area. The Palmetto Amber and Pale Ale already is in many chain grocery stores, such as Lowes and Piggly Wiggly, along with the Charleston Lager. These beers also are gracing the taps at restaurants and bars such as Atlas Tap House, Liberty Tap Room and, of course, Mellow Mushroom.
