Conway man held on $210,000 bond after officer interrupts armed robbery at Wendy’s

Bond was set at $210,000 for a Conway man caught in the act of robbing a fast food restaurant in his hometown, according to authorities.

Ebon Roberts, 36, was charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery, unlawful possession of a pistol and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 4:05 a.m. Monday where he remained at 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to jail records.

Roberts was arrested after a Conway police officer was driving by Wendy’s at 3:15 a.m. Monday and saw the robbery happening, according to a police report.

The officer saw a man with a gun pointed to the back of man’s head inside the restaurant after he forced the man and a woman to walk back into the business at 702 Church St., police said.
