The trailer for the documentary series about regional MMA fighters hit the web a few days ago. "Hometown Tough" seeks to, "humanize the fighters and help shift the perception of MMA as a brutality based sport. Each fighter has a unique background and purpose for fighting and they all maintain a balanced work and family life in addition to their fighting. Regional MMA is far different than what you see on the professional, international circuit."
The producers of the documentary series insist this isn't like a typical staged 'reality' show that include staged antics or the disruptive behavior that has recently plagued Myrtle Beach. The doc follows 12 fighters as they prepare for a fight that is coming up on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
