Myrtle Beach native Mik Musilunas is a Seahawk through-and-through. He played football at Myrtle Beach High School for four years and cited the late coach Doug Shaw as one of the biggest influences of his life. Graduating in 1989, Musilunas spent most of that time at the school’s old location at the intersection of North Kings Highway and 14th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. “We switched over to the new high school at Christmas break of my senior year,” he said. “I tell my daughter that I’m 80 percent old school and 20 percent new school.”
