Murrells Inlet man indicted on seven arson charges at businesses

A Murrells Inlet man arrested earlier this year in connection with seven fires set at area businesses has been indicted by an Horry County Grand Jury on those charges, according to court records.

Ryan Patrick Casiere, 21, of Murrells Inlet was indicted on seven counts of third-degree arson in connection with the fires that were late last year and earlier this year, according to indictments released Tuesday.

Casiere was arrested April 24 and remains jailed on $35,250 bond, according to records at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. He also faces an unrelated failure to appear charge.

The indictments alleged that Casiere was charged in connection with fires on Dec. 3 at American Mattress; March 21 at South Strand Landscaping; March 27 at Rott’s Auto and Bedman; and April 24 at Dr. Sattele’s Weight Loss, Powerhouse Bar and Grill and D.R. Horton, court records showed.
