Myrtle Beach bar employee assaulted by patron, police said woman resisted arrest

A woman shouted profanity, kicked, and tried to spit on police during an arrest after a Myrtle Beach bar employee told officers that the woman had pink metal knuckles on her hand when she grabbed him by the throat as he told her to leave, according to a police report.

Kendra Crandall, 24, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault and battery, resisting arrest, trespassing, and disorderly conduct, according to the report.

Police responded to the assault about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday after the 30-year-old victim ran out of the Tiki Bar at 708 N. Ocean Blvd. and stopped a passing officer, authorities said.
