Myrtle Beach Police said a man reported that his girlfriend stole his Mercedes Benz after she punched him and assaulted him with a candle.

Officers were called at 2:30 a.m. Thursday to a residence on Cole Court, off 38th Avenue North, police said.

A 33-year-old man told police he was sleeping when his live-in-girlfriend pushed his feet. The victim said he asked her to leave him alone, and the accused said “say leave me alone and I would punch you,” according to a police report.
