Kangaroo Express announced today the grand opening of a new store which is located at 4301 River Oaks Drive in Myrtle Beach, S.C., marking the second Kangaroo Express store built from the ground-up in four years.

The grand opening of the new store will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 27 and will include a variety of festivities the include a ribbon cutting event and even a presentation of a $2,000 check to United Way of Horry County.

The United Way of Horry County helps impact the lives of thousands of local Horry County residents who experienced abuse or require family support.The donation by Kangaroo Express’ will help provide a meal and safe haven to more than 38 families of four over the course of a year.

The grand opening celebration will include family fun activities, giveaways, food specials, games and big-ticket prizes.

Attendees of the grand opening celebration can also enjoy a free small Bean Street Coffee from 6 – 9 a.m., 25-cent hot dogs from 12 – 2 p.m. and free samples throughout the day.

A new McDonalds opened at the same intersection earlier this year. A new Bojangles as well as Murphy's Express gas station are also deep into construction.

A Lowes Foods grocery store is currrently under construction and expected to open sometime in 2014. CVS has plans to open a nearby drug store sometime in 2015.

The new Kangaroo will feature fresh sandwiches, as well as an assortment of bakery options and great tasting Bean Street Coffee, the unique brand of coffee is served only at Kangaroo Express stores.

The Kangaroo Epress store will also feature a Subway restaurant that will include a drive-thru. About 30 guests can be accommodated for inside dining.
