Coastal Uncorked 2013 has been postponed until next year

The Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association announced today due to the recent ruling by the South Carolina Department of Revenue in regards to donated alcoholic products for non-profit events, that the Coastal Uncorked week scheduled for June 3-8, 2013 will be postponed until 2014.

“Our decision to postpone this year’s event is very disappointing, but to ensure we delivered a top culinary event we felt reworking the entire model of the festival in such a short time frame would not allow us to accomplish our goals of showcasing the Grand Strand culinary industry. We will continue to grow the Coastal Uncorked culinary brand with events scheduled throughout the year culminating with event week June 2-7, 2014,”

-President & CEO for the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.

Coastal Uncorked is the signature year round event brand for the hospitality association and is utilized to promote the culinary side of the hospitality industry and the destination. It will continue the mission of the association representing, educating and promoting the best in the hospitality and tourism industry here along the Grand Strand and grow needed scholarship dollars to keep future tourism and culinary leaders in the community.
