A Murrells Inlet beekeeper had several of his hives vandalized – leading to the death of thousands of bees this weekend. Stephen Mantell has several hives in the Burgess area near St. James High School. Over the weekend, someone kicked over many of the wooden structures that contain hives and as many as 30,000 of his bees died.
