Local girl lands role in AMC series ‘Halt and Catch Fire’

Morgan Hinkleman a 9-year-old girl who lives lives in Pawleys Island and attends Waccamaw Elementary has landed a role on the fictionalized AMC period drama about the 1980's home personal computer revolution "Halt and Catch Fire". Morgan plays Joanie Clark, the daughter of one of the main characters on the show. According to the Sun News piece that ran today featuring Hinkleman, she only gets to watch her parts on the show due to the series' more mature themes.

Morgan says of her period attire, “I get to wear 1980s clothing, and it’s pretty cool. It’s clothing from when my mom was young.”

Head on over to The Sun News for their full feature on Morgan.

This isn't the first time we've written about Hinkleman's budding acting career, back in 2012 she was featured on a few episodes of NBC's "Revolution" as the younger version of one of the shows main characters. That piece can be found here.
