Croissants Bistro and Bakery will host its 3rd Annual Cupcake Eating Contest on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 2-5pm. “Croissants Bistro 8: Bakery is, once again, excited to bring the community together for some friendly competition,” said Heidi Vukov, owner of Croissants. “We invite everyone in the community to participate in our 4th of July event, which will feature live music, face painting, balloon animals, and kids cupcake decorating.

Participants are invited to “have their cake and eat it too" during this cupcake eating marathon. The winner will be crowned, “Cupcake Champion” of the Grand Strand.

Croissants’ cupcake eating competition is much like the annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog eating contest, and the grand prize package includes tickets to Myrtle Beach area attractions and restaurants, valued at more than $500. The event will be held at Croissants Bistro 8: Bakery July 4 from 2-5 p.m. Contestants have four minutes to eat as many cupcakes as they can beginning at 4 p.m.

Croissants Bistro 8: Bakery will begin accepting entries June 2, but space is limited. Contestants are encouraged to register early and can do so by emailing info@croissants.net or visiting www.croissants.net.
