Future of Chapin Memorial Library uncertain

The Sun News reports that Chapin Memorial Library, a staple in downtown Myrtle Beach since 1939, is the only city-run library in South Carolina. While that's novel, it's also a burden other city residents don't have to pay as libraries are funded through county taxes, as well. Plans are in the preliminary stages to transfer ownership to the county and that could include a move.
