One person is dead after a shooting occurred at Flint Lake apartments late Thursday night, according to Darris Fowler, deputy coroner with Horry County.

Horry County police officers responded to a domestic dispute at the apartments a little after midnight where a man with a gun was allegedly threatening his family, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman with Horry County police.

The man refused to drop his guy and continued to threaten his family and was then shot and killed by an officer, Denis said.
