Police investigating after counterfeit money used at store
A loss prevention employee reported to Myrtle Beach police that counterfeit money was used at Wal-Mart on Monday, authorities said.
Officers were already at the Wal-Mart on Seaboard Street about 5:30 p.m. Monday investigating a shoplifting incident when a 47-year-old loss prevention employee reported that counterfeit money was used at the store, according to a police report.
The store employee was unable to find out exactly when the money was used, but told police that the six counterfeit, ten-dollar bills used all came in from different registers at the store, authorities said.
