Small group holds vigil in honor of Michael Brown, Eric Garner on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach

Brian Pulling said he is saddened by the recent killings of unarmed black men and boys by police officers across the country and wanted to spread his message that it needs to stop.

He and two others stood on Kings Highway on Monday evening with signs and candles to support the families of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, both of whom were killed by police officers in Ferguson, Mo., and Staten Island, N.Y., respectively. Grand juries determined that neither officer should face charges.

“We’re just a group of people who are very concerned and want to support Michael Brown and Eric Garner and all of the other African Americans who have been killed by police,” Pulling said.
