Socastee tight end Kjosa commits to No. 1-ranked Coastal Carolina
One of the area’s biggest uncommitted football recruits has made a decision.
Socastee tight end Max Kjosa verbally committed to Coastal Carolina, forgoing interest from some NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision schools to remain in the area. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Kjosa actually informed CCU coaches of the decision nearly two weeks ago.
However, the Braves’ trip to the Class AAAA playoffs – they were eliminated last Friday by Stratford – helped keep the news under wraps.
Kjosa will be able to sign his paperwork with CCU on Feb. 4. Should he follow through on the verbal commitment, he’ll be joining a team that as of this week was the No. 1 team in the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll.
