Troopers, prosecutors closed portion of road near home of couple charged in Heather Elvis case

Troopers with the S.C. Highway Patrol assisted the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office last week by closing a portion of a highway that goes in front of a home owned by a Myrtle Beach couple charged in the disappearance of Heather Elvis, authorities said.

On Tuesday evening, Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said that he had requested troopers to close a portion of Secondary Highway 814 for a while on Friday.

“The closing did pertain to an ongoing investigation,” Richardson said in an email. “Unfortunately, I am unable to provide any additional details at this time.”
