Woman accidentally drowns in Conway pond near her home

A woman who accidentally drowned was pulled from a Conway pond Wednesday night, according to Darris Fowler, deputy coroner with Horry County. 

Fowler said the victim fell into the pond at 6:15 p.m. on Quiet Avenue in Conway, near Dongola Highway, and 911 was called. 

Battalion Chief Brian VanAernem with Horry County Fire Rescue said the woman and her husband were treating the pond behind their house before she fell in and drowned.
