Earlier this month word came that the Blue Angels would likely not be able to attend the Beaufort Air Show thanks to the federal budget sequestration, now the April air show at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort has been canceled.

Organizers wrote, "Headquarters Marine Corps made the decision to cancel the Air Show in order to minimize the fiscal impact on vital programs, operational readiness and mission capabilities possibly affected by sequestration."

The Beaufort Air Show was last canceled in 2006, and this year's cancellation joins other South Carolina air shows in Charleston and Myrtle Beach in being canceled.
