2015 Lowcountry Arts and Literary Festival

The 2015 Lowcountry Arts and Literary Festival will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of this historic Frampton Plantation, 1 Lowcountry Lane, Yemassee, South Carolina.

Authors Jack Gannon and Cyndi Williams-Barnier of Beaufort, South Carolina, are the founders of the Festival, which will feature authors from across the United States, plus artists/artisans/crafters from the Lowcountry.

This year’s special guests include:

  1. Miss South Carolina 2015, Daja Dial, who will be available throughout the day to talk with guests, sign autographs and be available for photo opportunities

  2. Joel Eisenberg, Hollywood writer/producer, author, and speaker, who will be debuting the latest entry in his “Chronicles of Ara” novel series at the festival

  3. John T. Wayne, author and speaker, and grandson of the legendary American icon John Wayne

Authors will be selling and signing books throughout the day. There will also be live music, entertainment, food sales, children’s activities, story-telling, book readings, authors will be selling and autographing their book, sales by local artisans, and more. Entry is free to the public, and the festival is also pet-friendly.

This family outdoor festival is set on the historic grounds of Frampton Plantation, the site of the Battle of Pocotaligo in October 1862.

Besides the literary and artistic participants, the Sons of Confederate Veterans Colonel Charles Colcock Camp #2100 will be on hand to assist the Festival staff behind the scenes. The camp will exhibit a living history amongst the oaks, and offer a concession stand to sell food and beverages, with all proceeds going to the Sons of Confederate Veterans (a non-profit organization).
