Mount Pleasant, S.C. – Award-winning Charleston homebuilder Sabal Homes recently hired Ashley Vaughan as Vice President of land to lead Sabal Homes’ land strategy by locating land suitable for acquisition and development. Vaughan is the first to hold this position at Sabal Homes, and will aid the companies’ ability to develop communities throughout the Lowcountry.

In this role, Vaughan’s responsibilities include managing the due diligence process, reviewing design documents, site plans and improvement plans for project coordination and contracting land acquisition alongside Sabal Homes’ leadership team.

Vaughan has more than 10 years of experience including her most recent position as Director of Land Acquisition and Entitlements at Lennar Carolinas, LLC. During her three years at Lennar Carolinas, Vaughan targeted and neogitated contracts within the Lowcountry market, oversaw amenity, parks and playground layouts and coordinated with architects, engineers, attorneys and consultants to ensure completion of due diligence tasks through acquisition and land development permits.

“I couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey with Sabal Homes,” says Vaughan. “I plan to use my previous land strategy and acquisition experience in the Lowcountry to help expand Sabal’s opportunity to supply the increasing demand for new homes in the area.”

Vaughan earned two bachelor degrees in economics and business administration from the College of Charleston.
