Dine well and for good at the Supper Society

The Supper Society is back on Thursday, July 26, and once again offers a chance for some great local food in a surprise setting and a way to support to local nonprofits.

Tickets are still available for the 7 p.m. event to be held in a "historic setting".

Hosting are the Historic Beaufort Foundation and Main Street Beaufort to support preservation and revitalization projects in the core commercial area of the National Historic Landmark District.

Chefs Stephanie Capers of Sweetgrass Restaurant on Dataw Island and Sherri Whitmire formerly of The Gullah House will prepare a four-course Lowcountry supper featuring fresh pork from Tuten Meats in Ridgeland and with an emphasis on local and sustainable produce.

Music will be provided by the Sidestreet Walkers. Service will be provided by the Tri-Command First Class Petty Officers Association. The event is B.Y.O.B.

The location of the dinner is only announced two days prior and seating is limited with reservations are required.
