City Loft Hotel

Beaufort's City Loft Hotel along with Breakwater, Wren and Greyhound Flats on Monday will receive the Historic Preservation Honor Award from Historic Beaufort Foundation.

The honor celebrates successful and exemplary historic preservation projects around Beaufort County. 

The honor is awarded based on two aspects of preservation.

The first is adaptive re-use, which is when an old building is used for a new purpose. The other is recognition of restoring an old building for the same purpose.
