Want to really put your running endurance to the test, or just see some folks get really muddy? Come out to the Parris Island Swamp Romp on the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.

It's Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 a.m. and, yes, it's open to the public.

The race is for individual or six-person teams over a 5.7 mile course that is flat and sandy, but, according to organizers, "really, really muddy."
